Naviate Pipe Features

Naviate Pipe contains many useful features, below we have listed a selection of the most popular ones. Naviate Pipe is a part of the Naviate Infrastructure bundle, please visit that page for general features or download a free trial to explore all features.

Pipe Network from Multiple Polylines

Creates a new pipe network from multiple existing AutoCAD objects such as line, arc, polyline or feature line.

Offset Pipe Network

Creates a parallel copy of a Pipe Network. Offset value can be entered as the free distance between pipes.

Modify Multiple Pipes

Modifies Elevation, Slope and Drop for a series of connected pipe network parts.

Pipe Trench Assembly

Naviate contain pipe trench assemblies for earth excavation as well as rock excavation and a subassembly for box insulation.

Service Pipes

Create a service pipe that connects to a main pipe without a structure in between.

Raise/Lower Parallel Pipes

Modifies elevation for pipes by referring to a parallel pipe and the entered elevation difference.

Objects from Network

Creates objects 3D solids or lines and blocks from pipes and structures, and copies existing Naviate Properties data to the created objects.

Import Pipe Corridor Settings

Imports corridor settings and surfaces for a Pipe corridor from a source corridor. This is a fast way to clear bowties.

Multiple 3DPolys from Network

Creates 3DPolys for machine guidance from pipe span.

Reference Surface

Sets Reference Surface and Reference Adjustment Value for multiple Pipe Network objects or entire networks at once.

Swap Parts Dialog

Swaps Multiple Network parts or an entire network in one go.

Constant pipe slope

Sets a constant slope for pipe spans, with or without pipe drop.

Reverse pipe

Reverses pipes one by one by “swapping” start and end structure and also “swapping” start and end elevation.

Connection point

Create a connection point on the main pipe and then connect any pipe to that connection point to create a pipe-to-pipe connection.

Update pipe network by 3DPoly

Updates an existing Pipe Network by using a 3DPoly or Feature Line.

Calculate elbows

Calculate 3D angles for bends/elbows between pipes and stores the angle in "Structure Angle" the structure between the pipes.

Simple Trench

A fast calculation for pipe trench volumes, the volumes are stored on the pipe as Naviate properties.

Multiple Interference Check

Identify pipe network parts that physically collide or are within a given distance. This Naviate function creates multiple Interference Checks from all or selected pipe networks.

Curve Pipes

Change an existing straight pipe to a curved pipe while maintaining elevations and slope.

Straight Pipes

Change an existing curved pipe to a straight pipe while maintaining elevations and slope.

Swap Part Graphical

Swap multiple parts (pipe or structure) by selecting a source part and either swapping the next structure or copying the structure data to the new structure.

Store Pipe Offsets

Store and restore pipe offset in structure.

Network Recover

Connect orphaned pipes to existing orphaned structures or create new structures where needed.

Nudge Structures

Move structures by entered displacement to force graphical update — and to update the connection between pipes and structures.

Network On/Off

Turns individual pipe networks on or off.

Modify Single Pipe

Modify elevation, cover, and slope for one pipe, with the option to move the connected pipe as well. The dialog can stay open while navigating around the drawing.

Raise and Lower Parallel Pipes

Modify elevation for pipes by referring to a parallel pipe network and setting elevations to match the parallel pipe + the entered elevation difference.

Create Structure in Profile

Select a pipe and a position in the Profile view, and a selected structure is placed and connected to that pipe in the corresponding position in plan view.

Multi-label Pipes

Creates a multi-label for a selection of pipes. The multi-label is built from pipe parent labels that have child labels. All the selected pipe labels are dragged to a selected point to form a multiple dragged-state label.

Rename Structures

Rename or renumber structures along an existing polyline or by drawing a temporary polyline.

Rename Pipes by Structures

Rename all or selected pipes in a network by the connected structures — with optional prefix, interfix, and suffix.

Highlight Profile Part in Plan

Select one or several pipe network objects in plan view by clicking on the object in a profile view. The command can also zoom to the selected object in plan view.

Highlight Plan Part in Profile

Select one or several pipe network object in profile view by clicking on the object in plan view. The command can also zoom to the selected object in profile view.

Min Max Surface

Create a minimum or maximum surface from several base surfaces. The resulting surface can be updated if any changes occur.

Property Palette

A comprehensive palette for managing Property Set information on any type of object. The palette can search for objects with specific values and import/export property set and property set information. Property Sets can also be applied and updated from the palette.

Create View Frame

Insert a View Frame in the drawing at the selected scale and with added Property Set.

View Frame Array

Create an array from a view frame and places match lines and match labels.

Create Sheets

Zoom Viewports to their corresponding View Frame in a View Frame file.
