Release news Naviate for Revit

Naviate Zero June Release 2023.1.12

Release news for Naviate Zero. Highlights include the new features Import and Export Project Settings, Import and Export Resource Mappings, Exclude Elements from Mappings, Exclude Elements from Calculation and Automatic Mapping of Units in addition to improvements and fixes.

New! Import and Export Project Settings

Naviate Zero now offers enhanced workflow for managing settings between models. The settings window now allows you to conveniently export and import your settings for categories, units, and checked statuses. This functionality helps collaboration by enabling you to share your preferred settings with colleagues. However, it is important to note that phases and the selected country are not included in the export process.

New! Import and Export Resource Mappings

Reuse your mapped resources in different projects! Naviate Zero now supports importing and exporting of Resource mappings. The mappings can be shared with colleagues, reused in future projects and can save you that upstart time. In apply resource you simply choose export or import. Cloned material will be included in the export, but when imported the clones need to exist in the model to have those mappings added. When importing, you can choose to either overwrite your previously assigned resources or leave them as they are.

New! Exclude Elements from Calculation

Naviate Zero now offers improved control over elements included in CO2e calculations exports to OCL. Users can now selectively exclude specific elements from these processes. This functionality is particularly valuable for disregarding building elements found below ground, which may not be relevant for your calculations. To exclude an element, simply find and check the instance parameter named "NVZeroExclude." If this parameter is missing from the model, Naviate Zero will automatically generate it for your convenience. This enhancement provides greater control over the data used in CO2e calculations and OCL exports, promoting a more accurate and efficient workflow.

New! Automatic Mapping of Units

Resources support different units, and it can sometimes be difficult to know what to use. Units can now be automatically assigned to your types when applying a resource. Simply check Automatic mapping to have the available unit specified.

Save Pinned Resources

Pinning Resources in apply resources are now saved between Revit sessions. This is saved locally only for you, so your favourites are there for you when you get back from your break.

Icons for Color Blindness

Icons for CO2e impact indicator have been updated for colour blindness. The symbols in apply resources have been updated with a gradually increasing smile to show how good a resource is.

More Resources

More EPDs have been made available. Zero now has over 160000 EPDs!

Unit Tool Tip

The available units that a resource can be mapped to are now displayed by hoovering over it. If automatic mappings don’t solve it, this makes it easier to find a suitable unit to manually assign to.
