New! Element Detailing
Analyze and group geometry equal elements. Number each group and receive notifications about any changes to the elements/groups.
Element Detailing feature allows you to analyze, number, and track changes in structural elements based on their geometry and user-defined configuration. Using the "Filter Elements" feature, you can create and afterward select a specific filter to analyze. All elements within the selected filter are analyzed and grouped according to their geometry and other chosen parameters in the configuration.
The configuration offers full flexibility, allowing you to select parameters associated with the element's category. For each chosen parameter, you can specify whether it should:
- be displayed in the grid,
- be used for comparison (grouping)
- be assigned a custom header
- be used for sorting
You can also configure the parameters used for numbering and revision.
You can define a geometry tolerance value to achieve accurate grouping and control of geometric comparisons.
All configuration settings can be easily exported, saved as an external file, and imported into other projects.
Once the elements have been analyzed and grouped, each group is assigned a unique number. To generate these numbers, you can define prefixes and a starting number, run the numbering option, and then save the assigned numbers to the elements:
During the analysis, you’ll be notified whenever changes are detected in the elements or their groupings. For each notification, you can choose to either dismiss the warning or accept/apply the changes and save a new revision:
