New! Trim to opening
New feature that trims/splits straight rebar around the opening in walls, floors, or slabs.
This new feature will trim/split all straight reinforcement bars to any rectangular or circular opening within a wall, floor or slab just by selecting the opening(s) in a view. All reinforcement will be trimmed back to the rebar cover and the ones inside the opening will be deleted. After the trim, reinforcement is constrained to opening faces and will adjust if the opening size is changed or if an opening is slightly moved.
The opening feature supports openings created as a generic family opening (cut opening and cut in proportion opening), opening by face, vertical opening, and shaft opening.
New! Connection
Creates reinforcement on the selected face of a single element or connecting face/line of two elements.
The feature is modeless (floating dialog). It places connection reinforcement on the selected face of a single element or connecting face/line of two structural elements, based on the configuration defined in the tool. Connection reinforcement bars can have different types, shapes, hooks and distribution, they are placed in a selected host and constrained to bars inside the host.
The main features are:
- Select single/connection face and host element to apply reinforcement.
- Choose what connection type you would like to use.
- Set configuration based on the selected connection type.
- Connection reinforcement bars are placed in the selected host element and by default in the first layer. You can use additional cover-Ca (enter a value or pick rebar in a host) to place construction bars in the appropriate layer.
- For reinforcement rebar shape, use any rebar shape code and/or hooks from your template or create a new shape using “None” option.
- You can define the number of bars or spacing of bars in a rebar set that will be created.
- Reinforcement is created as rebar sets and constrained to the host element or to other rebar elements in a host.
- It is possible to save the configuration (settings) as a Template setting for reuse.
- You can apply the Template setting to different elements/faces.
- Connection supports projects in a work-shared environment. Multiple users can use the same Template settings.
Save the configuration as a Template and apply the same configuration/settings on different elements:
Beam
Supports reinforcement creation for beams that have cuts.
You can now generate beam reinforcement for beams with some cuts or irregularities in their length. Cuts on the beam ends or any other position will be ignored, and reinforcement is created as for a “regular” rectangular beam.
Column
Supports reinforcement creation for columns that have cuts.
You can now generate column reinforcement for columns with some cuts or irregularities in their height. Cuts on the column ends or any other position will be ignored, and reinforcement is created as for the “regular” rectangular column.
Fixes
- Beam: Fixed issue for beam reinforcement placed in opposite layers for ground beams.
- Opening: List of the shape codes is now sorted in the drop-down menu.
