Naviate for Civil 3D 2025.3 Road release

Updates in Naviate Road for Civil 3D. Highlights include the new features 3D Text and Apply Color Scheme and updates to Report Surface Volume and Profile Setup.

Changes are available in Naviate for Civil 3D 2025.3 releases.

Naviate for Civil 3D have a new version numbering system for ease of understanding! This version is called 25.3.1 and that name will be common for all year-versions. So if you work on Civil 3D 2025, you will install Naviate for Civil 3D 2025 25.3.1. If you work on Civil 3D 2024, you will install Naviate for Civil 3D 2024 25.3.1.

3D Text

3D Text is a new feature that creates 3D-texts from Mtexts or labels and projects them to a surface. 

Apply Color Scheme

Apply Color Scheme is a new feature that can apply a preset elevation analysis with color scheme to a surface. The preset analysis is saved as an xml-file in Naviate Support Folder.

Report Surface Volume

Report Surface Volume has been updated with several new options.

  • The report table is now created as a customizable Schedule Table. For each row of the report, a rectangular block is inserted and this block carries the report information in a Property Set from which the Schedule Table is created. This also makes it possible to insert Schedule Tables that report on multiple "table blocks".
  • When Importing rows from a file, the rows can be Added to the dialog or Replace the entire set of rows. The Import command now also sets a default surface for the rows.
  • New Calculation methods have been added
    • Adjusted, Subtract calculated row below
    • Adjusted, Add Calculated row below
    • 2D-Area x Factor
    • 3D-Area x Factor

Profile Setup

Profile Setup now has the option to Copy to User where all required files for Naviate are copied to a user-dependent library. This can be done for instance if the Public folders have limited access or to be able to join Naviate Beta program. 

Fix

  • Fixed an issue where the text on a Direction Sign sometimes did not follow the text height from the background plate.
