Changes are available in Naviate for Civil 3D 2025.3 releases.

Naviate for Civil 3D have a new version numbering system for ease of understanding! This version is called 25.3.1 and that name will be common for all year-versions. So if you work on Civil 3D 2025, you will install Naviate for Civil 3D 2025 25.3.1. If you work on Civil 3D 2024, you will install Naviate for Civil 3D 2024 25.3.1.

In this version we have solved two installation issues that some customers have encountered. For more information on what those issues are and what the solution is, please see these two help-pages:

Create Point

Create Point is a new command for creating and editing Cogo Points and the Points in Slope Arrows . The dialog displays the point code list that is stored in the drawing, and with Apply Code, existing Cogo Points can be edited. To create a new code, type the new code in the dialog and then a Point Group can also be created for the code. Points can be created as Single, On Surface, Along Line and From Blocks. The Slope Arrow-command can also be started straight from the dialog.

Slope Arrow Settings

Slope Arrow Settings have been updated with options for how deleting parts of the Slope Arrow will affect other parts. Auto-Delete Feature Line with Label means that if a label on a slope arrow is deleted, the connected Feature Line will also be deleted. Auto-Delete Feature Line with Point means that if a cogo point is removed, any connected Feature Line will also be deleted.

Slope Arrow Settings is now opened at the first start of the command in a new file, to aid with having correct settings from the start.

Slope Arrow

Slope Arrows has been updated extensively with both new features and bugfixes:

  • There is now the option to enter Endpoint Elevation instead of slope. The option is accessed by selecting Slope inside the command, and then End Point elevation is revealed.
  • The command now support UCS.
  • There is the option to create a Slope arrow as an arc. The arc is created as a three-point arc.
  • The layer for the Slope Arrow now uses the layer in Drawing Settings > Object Layer.
  • When the command adds the Slope Arrows to a surface, it now uses the settings AddSurfaceBreaklines on the Settings-tab, meaning Mid-ordinate distance for Arcs and Supplementing Factor for tangents can be adjusted.
  • Fixed an issue where the Slope Arrow command don’t use the Object Snap but rather where the mouse was placed.
  • Fixed an issue where the point number was not incremented.
  • Fixed an issue where deleting a feature line didn’t remove the connection to the cogo point.
  • Fixed an issue where Undo broke the Slope Arrows

Line Set

Line Set now changes the name of the surface if the Line Set Name is changed and when the Line Set is copied. When inserting a new component, it inserts below the selected component. Components stay selected when moving them.

3D Measure

3D Measure has been updated with an option “Adjust X-Scale" so if an exact interval is used for wide objects, the X-scale can be adjusted to retain the correct visual appearance.

Line Style Library and Object Style Library

Line Style Library and Object Style Library has been updated to support edits in the right table before inserting or creating the object. Those edits can then be saved to the CSV-file by right click > Save to file.

Plant Data

Plant Data now has a Copy & Add option. This copies a selected object and adds the Property Data on the copied object. This can be used to for instance create a plant mix where the duplicate objects represent each of the plants in the mix.

Edit Elevation by Scrollwheel

Edit Elevations by Scrollwheel has been updated to find and edit Feature Line vertices that are in the same XYZ as the selected cogo point.

Fix

  • Fixed an issue where Edit Elevation by scrollwheel crashes if the command is used on a cogo point and then the file is reopened and Edit Elevation is used on the same cogo point.
  • Fixed an issue where 3D Measure didn’t import a template with note labels
  • Fixed an issue where Edit Elevation by Scrollwheel stopped working if Feature lines had becomes zero length. A new command, Recreate Slope Arrows, has been added to recreate feature lines that have become zero length.
