Feature
This is the first release of Naviate Bimfire.
New! Wall Requirement
Specify fire requirements for Walls.
Now you can easily specify and add Fire Rating requirements on Walls. With this featureyou will be able to pre-define up to six slots of Wall requirements and quickly access and place requirements on linked Walls.
Now, elements (wall requirements) in your engineering model are connected to the elements in linked model, enabling effective collaboration between fire engineers and architects, structural and MEP engineers.
New! Opening Requirement
Specify fire requirements for Openings.
With this feature you will be able to pre-define up to six slots of Opening requirements and quickly access and place requirements on linked Openings (Doors and Windows).
Now, elements (opening requirements) in your engineering model are connected to the elements in linked model, enabling effective collaboration between fire engineers and architects.
Note: Each opening requirement has a defined value, providing you with an easy way to identify each requirement in active view.
New! Auto Connect Requirement
Automatically connect Wall & Opening requirements.
This feature allows you to automatically connect all Wall and Opening requirements to underlying elements. Connecting elements quickly in a batch manner.
New! Calculate Travel Distance
Calculate the total length of selected evacuation routes.
This feature allows you to calculate the path of travel for 90° and 45° angles evacuations routes.
By pre-selecting evacuation routes (any element with Length parameter!) - we will calculate the total distance of the path and report in instance parameters.
If evacuation routes change, you will be able to update the travel distance by running the feature again.
New! Path of Travel
Finds the furthest distance to a point from either rooms, spaces or Zones.
With this feature you can quickly find the room which needs to be analyzed more in detail in evacuation route aspect.
Each Zone/Space/Room will be analyzed and for each area, the furthest point from the evacuation area point will be calculated and drawn in the active view.
Together with the “Number of People” feature we can calculate the total number of people evacuating from the Level.
New! Tag Evacuation Symbols
Add tags to Fire Symbols.
With this feature you will be able to place a matching tag to each symbol which should appear on evacuation plans. The tags will automatically rotate with the view.
New! Search Connected
Find and select all objects connected to an underlying object.
With this feature you will be able to navigate through your engineering model and find and select all symbols connected to an underlying object.
Select a symbol based on GUID or by picking linked elements in active view.
New! Family Connections
Connect elements from host model to a linked element.
With this feature you will be able to quickly connect your fire requirements with underlying elements in the linked model. Main Features are Connect/Disconnect Familiy, Connect Spaces and Quick Connect.
Connect/Disconnect Family
Manually connect/disconnect a family to a linked element.
Connect Spaces
Connect all spaces in the entire model to corresponding Rooms in the linked model.
Quick Connect
Quickly connect symbols to underlying elements.
New! Audit Trail
Manage & Update changes between connected elements.
When an underlying model has been updated, it's crucial to check if the other stakeholders have moved or especially deleted any object with a connected requirement, Audit Trail feature allows you keep track of changes in the model and update the fire data in the engineering model.
The main features of the feature are:
- Resolve Selected Symbols – Quickly update selected objects to the linked fire requirement object new position.
- Accept Selected Symbols – Quickly accept the new location of the linked object without moving the fire requirement object in the engineering model
- Reset Selected Symbols – Used to reset fire symbols that might have been misplaced
- Audit Trail – Checks if there is any changes in the linked model which could affect any linked fire requirement object
New! Dense Compartments
Check whether a door or window requirement are connected to the openings in the compartmentation wall.
This feature allows you to identify which openings are not connected to a fire requirement. For each unconnected element the tool will place a tag “Unconnected”.
New! Clash Detection
Find all horizontal clashes from Ducts, Cable Trays, and Pipes.
His feature places a unique symbol for each penetration (on the penetration location), each symbol provides you with important data for calculating cost for the fire stoppers in the project.
New! Number of People
Calculate the maximum number of occupants and the minimum clear width requirements for compartments.
This feature allows you to use Spaces and HVAC Zones in Revit to calculate the total number of occupants allowed in a compartmentation. The feature also calculates the minimum clear width requirements for compartments.
These values can be used to calculate the total number of occupants of a Level, using an evacuation route feature in “Path of Travel”.
New! Import Mappings
Define which parameters can be imported from the engineering models.
This feature allows you to keep track of parameters in the engineering model and make sure your parameter mappings(values) are aligned across all your projects!
New! Import from Link
Add instance parameter data from a specialist model onto objects in the host model.
This feature allows you to pull instance parameter data from a linked model and add to host objects.
New! New Project
Access your own, BIMFire, and Naviate templates.
This feature will allow you to easily access the BIMFire Fire templates and as well your own locally saved templates.
