Release news Naviate for Revit

Naviate Accelerate May release 2025.2

Release Naviate Accelerate. Highlights includes two new features Style Sweep and Norkart Import. Updates to Unhode Elements, Fabrication Parts, Update Schemas, Changes for solving conflicts between projects and What's New pop-up.

Changes for Solving Data Conflicts between projects

Update of data storages for some tools to avoid conflicts when opening multiple projects created by different versions.

When using some of the tools in the application, the saved data connected to the tool will be updated to solve a possible “Data Conflict” issue. The update happens automatically without any notification the first time you change project specific data in an affected tool.

If you have access to Naviate Accelerate you can use the new Update Schema tool to update all affected extensible storages in your project in one go.

Important Note: To ensure data integrity, it is crucial that all users working on the affected projects are using the latest version of the application.

What's New Pop-up

What's New dialog box is not shown by default at Revit/Naviate startup for new installs.

When installing Naviate applications for the first time or after a complete uninstall of Naviate, the What’s New dialog box is turned off by default. The What’s New dialog box will not show up when Revit/Naviate is started unless you manually have turned it on.

Note! If you update Naviate by running the .msi files without first uninstalling the previously installed Naviate applications, the previous setting for What’s New (default on) is kept.

You can still access What’s New from Help menu to read about the new and improved features in last installed release.

When doing scripted install you can control if the if the What’s New dialog box should show at startup or not using the WHATSNEW parameter as before.

  • Help Documentation: Easily access dedicated help documentation to guide you through the Norkart Import workflow.
  • Import Functionality: Offers a specific function for importing downloaded map data from Norkart seamlessly into your Revit environment.

Unhide Elements - Choose what to unhide

The Unhide Elements command has been enhanced to provide greater control over which hidden elements are revealed in a view. Previously, initiating the "Unhide Elements" command would automatically reveal all categories hidden by Element within that view. With this improvement, upon running the "Unhide Elements" command, users are now presented with a categorized list of the hidden elements. This allows you to selectively Unhide Categories. You can choose categories you wish to remain hidden. These settings will be saved per user.

Filter Elements - Exlude Grouped Elements

Now when using Filter Elements feature to select elements or save selections, you will be able to exclude elements that are in groups. This is simply done by activating a toggle button.

Fabrication Parts Support

New Fabrication parts categories are now supported in various Naviate Accelerate features. Support is added for following categories:

  • MEP Ancillary Framing - 24 and 25 only
  • MEP Fabrication Containment
  • MEP Fabrication Ductwork
  • MEP Fabrication Ductwork Stiffeners - 24 and 25 only
  • MEP Fabrication Hangers
  • MEP Fabrication Pipework

Updated features are:

  • 3D Zones tools
  • Filter Elements
  • Live Selection
  • Color Elements
  • Combine Parameters

Tree-views are also updated in various features to show Assemblies Sheets separately.

Update Schemas

A new tool has been introduced to help users effectively resolve potential data conflicts that may arise when opening multiple Revit projects within a single session.

Depending on the configured settings for various Naviate features, a "Data Conflict" warning might appear when multiple projects are open simultaneously in Revit. Failure to address these conflicts before saving could lead to permanent data loss.

Schemas causing conflicts will be updated when the user saves new setting, or they can all be updated in a single operation using Update Schemas tool from Accelerate’s Manage Project tab. This enables you to efficiently convert an entire project if you are encountering data conflict issues.

Important Note: To ensure data integrity, it is crucial that all users working on the affected projects are using the latest version of the application.
Update Schemas does not change loadable Families.
